Goatkraft  are  a  band  from  Norway  that  plays  a  raw  mixture  of  war,  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2018  ep  "Angel  Slaughter"  which  will  be  released  in  March  by  Iron  Bonehead  Productions.

  A  very  dark  and  evil  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  ep  along  with  some  demonic  whispers  and  voices  before  going  into  a  very  fast,  raw  and  brutal  war  metal  direction  which  also  uses  a  great amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.

  Bestial  growls  can  also  be  heard  at  times  while all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  along  with  the  music  also  mixing  in  a  great  amount  of  90's  and  early 2000's  influences  and  as  the  ep  progresses  a  small  amount  of  mid  tempo  riffing  can  also  be  heard  and  they  close  the  recording  with  a  cover  of  Black  Witchery's  "Unholy  Vengeance  Of  War".

  Goatkraft  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  the  rawest  elements of  war,  black and  death  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  death,  hate,  destruction  and  blasphemous  themes.

  In  my  opinion Goatkraft  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black,  war  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Angel  Slaughter"  and  "Holocaust  Winds  Of  Blasphemy".  8  out  of  10.

  Cruda  Sorte  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  atmospheric  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2018  album  "Ewigkeiten  im  Schimmel"  which  was  released  by  Bleeding  Heart  Nihilist  Productions.

  An  avant  garde  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  keyboards  a  few  seconds  later  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also uses  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  while  the  music  also  gets  very  atmospheric  at  times.

  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  raw  yet  melodic  melodic  sounding  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  angry  and  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  along  with  some  clean  playing  also  being  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording  as  well  as  some  clear  vocals.

  Some  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  the  music  also  brings  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  some  depressive  elements  also  being  used  at  times  and  they  also  bring  in  a  brief  use  of  shamanistic  style  percussion  and  experimental  elements  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction.

  Cruda  Sorte  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw,  depressive  and  atmospheric  sounding,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  German  and  cover  Anti  Christianity,  Nihilism,  Eternity,  Illimitability  and  Anti  Cosmic  Satanism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Cruda  Sorte  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw,  depressive  and  atmospheric  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Die  Letzte  Ara"  and  "Schimare".  8/5  out  of  10.   

  

  Spain's  Edenkaiser  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  continues  their  raw  and  old  school  style  of  black  metal  from  previous  releases  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2017  album  "Ov  Future  Wars  And  Echoes  From  The  Past".

  War  samples  along  with  some  heavy  riffing  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  drum  beats  a  few  seconds  later  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  uses  a  great  amount  of  tremolo picking  and  blast  beats  along  with  the  vocals  being  mostly  grim  yet  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.

  A  small  amount  of  melody  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  while  evil  sounding  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  the  songs  also  bringing  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  when  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  raw  yet  melodic  fashion and  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  second  wave  era  as  well  as  war  samples  also  returning  on  some  of  the  later  tracks  and  synths  can  also  be  heard  briefly  on  a  later  song.

  Edenkaiser  creates  another  recording  that  remains  true  to  their  raw  and  old  school  style  of  black  metal,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  war  and  nihilism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Edenkaiser  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  and  old  school  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Dead  Gods  Desire"  "Killing  Dark  Speed" "Soul  Of  The  unborn"  and  "Riding  Towards  Acheron".  8  out  of  10.

  Avslut  are  a  band  from  Sweden  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  melodic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2018  album  "Deceptis"  which  will  be  released  on  February  18th  by  Osmose  Productions.

  A  very  fast  and  raw  sound  starts  off`  the a;bum  along  with  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  and  tremolo  picking  while  the  riffs  also  use  a  great  amount  of  melody  along  with  the  vocals  being  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  as  well  as  the  music  being  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  Swedish  style.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  music  also  brings  in  a  great  amount  of  90's  influences  along  with  some  growls  also being  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording  as  well  as  the  guitar  leads  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  fashion  and  at  time s the  music  also  has  its  atmospheric  moments,  as  the  album  progresses  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing  can  be  heard  and  the  closing  track  is  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  Avslut  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw  and  melodic in  the  Swedish  tradition,  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  a  mixture  of  English  and  Swedish  cover  hatred,  misanthropy  and  misery  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Avslut  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  melodic  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Pestilens"  "Legion"  "Evigt Morker"  and  "Avslut".  8  out  of  10.

  Mimorium  are  a  band  from Finland  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  melodic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2018  album  "Incipit  Chaos" which  was  released  by  Heathen  Tribes.

  A  very  dark  sounding  intro  starts off  the  album  along  with some  epic  sounding  keyboards  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  done  in  a  very  melodic  fashion  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  uses  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  and  tremolo  picking  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  riffs  also  bringing  in  a  great  amount  of  melody  as  well  as  the  solos  and  leads  being  done  in  a  very  raw  and  melodic  fashion,  growls  can  also  be  heard  on  some  of  the  tracks  and  as  the  album  progresses  more  atmospheric elements  can  also  be  heard.

  Mimorium  play  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw  and  melodic  along  with  some  touches  of  death  metal,  the  production  sounds  very  raw  and  heavy  while  the  lyrics  cover  darkness,  occultism  and  Norse  Paganism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Mimorium  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  melodic  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Gods  Of  The  Black  Thrones"  "Fimbulwinter"  and  "Incipit  Chaos".  8  out  of  10.
