Dawn  Of  Tyrants  are  a  band  from  Toronto,  Ontario,  Canada  that  plays  a  bestial  mixture  of war, black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2020  album  "Genocide  Supremacist"  which  was  released  by  Black  Market  Metal  Label.

  A  very  dark  and  apocalyptic  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  brief use  of  spoken  word  samples and  synths  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  war  metal  direction  which  also  uses  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  while  the vocals  are  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams  and  bestial  growls.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the music  also  brings  in  a  great  amount  of  90's  influences.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized they  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style  along  with  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.

  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  have  a  very  powerful  sound  along  with  the  spoken  word  samples  from  the  intro also  making  a  return  on  a  couple  of  the  later  tracks  as  well  as  one  song  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing  and the  album  closes  with  a  cover  of  Type  O  Negative's  "Christian Woman"  which  also  adds in  some  melodicvocals.  The  production  sounds  very  old  school   while  the  lyrics cover Totalitarianism  and  Death  Worship  themes. 

 In  my  opinion  Dawn  Of  Tyrants  are  a  very  great  sounding  bestial  mixture of  war,  black  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you should check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Genocide  Supremacist" 'and  "Through  The  Gates  Of  Void".  8 out  of  10.

  Urfeind  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  an  anti  cosmic  form  of  heathen  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  ep  "Wraiþaz"  which  will  be  released  in  2021.

  Melodic  guitar  solos  and  leads  start  off  the  ep  while the  vocals  are  done  in  mostly  a  deep  yet  grim  black  metal  style.  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  melody  along  with  the  faster  sections  of the  songs  also  adding  in  some  blast  beats  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful sound  to  them.

  High  pitched  screams  can  also  be  heard  in  some  parts  of  the  recording  while  the  tremolo  picking  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Throughout  the  ep  you  can  also  hear  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  all  of  the  music  sticking  to  a  heavier  direction.

  On  this  recording  Urfeind  goes  into  more  of  a  melodic  black  metal  direction.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics cover  Anti  Cosmic<  Left  Hand  Path  and  Dark  Germanic  Heathenism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Urfeind  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  melodic,  anti  cosmic  and  heathen  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Nine  To  Zero"  and  "inner  Rampage".  8  out  of  10.

  And  Now  The  Owls  Are  Smiling  are  a  solo  project  from  the  United  Kingdom  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  very  atmospheric  and  depressive  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review of his  album  "Dirges"  which  will  be released  in 2021  by  Clobber  Records.

  Ocean  sounds  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  clear vocals  a  few seconds  later  before  adding  in  some  clean  playing  which  also adds  in  touches  of  shoegaze  and  post  rock before going  into  a  heavier  direction.  A  great  portion  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  when  synths  are  utilized they  give  the  music  more  of  an  atmospheric feeling.

  When  the  music  speeds u a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  also be  heard  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  depressive  black  metal  screams.  Growling  vocals  are  also  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording  and  the  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow, mid  paced  and  fast  parts.

  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some of  the  guitar  riffing along  with  one  of  the  tracks  also  introducing  acoustic  guitars  onto  the  recording  as  well  as  a  couple  of  the  tracks  also  being   instrumentals.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics cover  depression,  existence,  suicide  and  coldness  themes. 

  In  my  opinion  this is  another great  sounding  recording  from  And  Now  The  Owls  Are Smiling  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  atmospheric  and  depressive black  metal, you  should check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Rejection"  and  "Acceptance".8out  of  10.

  0-Nun  are  a  solo  project  from  Brazil  that  plays  a  very  atmospheric  and  experimental  form  of  occult  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2020  compilation  album  "The  Shamanic  Trilogy"  which  was  released  by  Brucia  Records  and  consists  of  his  first  3  ep's.

  Orchestra  sounds  start  off  the  album  while  also  mixing  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  music  at  times.  Ritualistic  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  in  some  parts  of  the  compilation  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard.

  Acoustic  guitars  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  they  also  enhance  the  experimental  atmosphere  of  the  music.  The  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody  along  with  the  music  also  having  its  symphonic  and  atmospheric  moments  and  a  great  portion  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  Keyboards  are  also  utilized  quite  a  bit  throughout  the  compilation  along  with  the  tremolo  picking  also  giving  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  The  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  as  well  as  the  vocals  also  getting  very  deep  and  demonic  sounding  at  times.

  Shamanistic  style  folk  instruments  are  also  into  music  briefly  on  the  second  installment  of  the  3  part  trilogy.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  as  well  as  the  music  also  having  its  progressive  moments.  All  of  the  drum  beats  are  also  programmed  and  samples  can  also  be  heard  on  some  of  the  tracks.

  When  percussion  is  utilized  it  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  tribal  atmosphere,  the  third  installment  also  shows  the  music  going  into  more  of  an  avant  garde  direction.  the  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  Inexistence,  Nothingness,  Void  and  the  absence  of  being  in  more  of  a  shamanistic  and  occult  way  and  also  bringing  in  references  to  Egyptian  Mythology.

  In  my  opinion  0-Nun  are  a  very  great sounding atmospheric,  experimental  and  occult  black  metal solo project  and if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  compilation.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "I,  The  Void  Embrace"  "I  Will  Only  Exist  In  Absence"  "The  Last Acres  of  Amazonia"  and  "The  SOund  Of  Antimatter". 8/5out  of  10.

  Italy's  Aborym  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows the music  moving  further  away  from  their  black  metal  roots  and  goes  for  more  of  an  industrial  rock/metal  style  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  album  "Hostile"  which  will  be  released  in  2021  by  Dead  Seed  Productions.

  Whispers  which  evolve  into  spoken  word  parts  start  off  the  album  along  with  a  powerful sounding  bass  guitar  and  programmed  beats  a few  seconds  later  before  going  into  a  heavier  industrial  metal  direction. Vocals  are done  in  a  clean  yet  rough  style  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.

  Programmed  beats  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording  while  the  music  also  adds  in  a  decent  amount  of  keyboards  ad  electronic  music  sounds.  The  music  also  adds  in  a  decent  amount  of  mainstream radio  rock  elements  along  with  the  guitar  solos  and  leads  also  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  style,  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  in  some  parts  of  the  recording  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  blast  beats  when  the  music  finally  speeds  up  and  as  the  album  progresses  a brief  use  of  saxophones  can  also  be  heard.

  On  this  recording  Aborym  continue  the  industrial rock/metal  style  of  previous  releases  as  well  as  moving  even  further  way  from  their  black  metal roots.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the lyrics  cover  dark and  apocalyptic  themes  with  a  touch  of  Gnosticism.

   In  my opinion  this  is  another  decent  sounding  album  from  Aborym  and  if  you are  a fan  of  industrial  rock/metal,you  should  check out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Disruption" "The  End  Of  The  World"  "The  Pursuit  Of Happiness"  and  "Magical Smoke  Screen".  7  out  of  10.
